Second Church is a Congregational church affiliated with the United Church of Christ. We are united by a covenant and seek to walk the ways of Christ in spiritual freedom and in social responsibility.
We are an inner city church with strong outreach programs, locally and worldwide. Our congregation is made up of active participating members in a full range of age groups. Our community appreciates our long-standing music program, which continues to attract strong musicians and singers throughout the area. Our Christian Education Department and our Jack & Jill weekday pre-school are the best anywhere. Our minister and staff oversee a vital Christian ministry for children, youth, and adults.
Sunday worship, Sunday school, youth groups, Bible studies, pastoral and marriage counseling, and spiritual growth and support groups are directed by our pastor, our staff, and numerous volunteers.
