Second Congregational Church’s Food Pantry is a community outreach program where volunteers work to make food available for the many people in need. The Food Pantry is made possible through the generosity of Church members and its many friends in the Attleboro community such as the Postal Drive, the Girl and Boy Scouts, and friends of our Jack and Jill nursery school.
The Food Pantry is open to local and surrounding town residents year-round on the 4th Monday of each month from 3 to 5 pm. On average, the Pantry serves 20 to 30 families per month. The Pantry also offers a list of other food assistance resources available in the Attleboro and surrounding areas. Please use the rear glass door off the parking lot. Handicap accessible.
Among the items the Food Pantry distributes are canned meats, tuna, hearty soups, vegetables, beans, mac-n-cheese, rice, pasta and sauce, cereal, and fruit juice. Other items available are toiletries and personal items.
Donations and volunteers are always welcome. Food Pantry donations needed the most are canned meat products such as corn beef has and spam. Donations can be brought to the Church on Sundays or left at the Church office from Monday to Thursday.
