Youth Groups

Participants in the Youth Ministry programs have the opportunity to put faith into action through a variety of outreach and mission projects during the program year and also assist with and lead the Sunday morning worship service on occasion. Our meetings provide a place for young people to develop friendships, nurture faith and create a church community. They also get to build and use their talents. We provide opportunities for our Christian teens to focus on the call of Christ and make a difference in the world. To do this we create activities that are fun, empower faith and open channels of trust leading to lasting Christian friendships. Some of the activities the youth take part in is the Crop Walk, The Souper Bowl of Caring, and the 30 Hour Famine.

Jr. High (grades 6-8) meet the 2nd and 4th Sunday of the month from 6 to 7:30pm. For more information e-mail Sue Janson.

Sr. High (grades 9-12) meet the 1st and 3rd Sunday of the month from 6 to 8pm. For more information e-mail Dianne Ordog.

Jr and Sr. high youth have been having combined meetings and having a "theme night". Record night was alot of fun with kids eating jelly with chop sticks, text messaging, and putting clothes pins on hand in one minute to name a few. The second theme night was parachute night. The kids really had alot of fun at that.

In March I will be having a childrens group/ministry type program with 3rd, 4th and 5th graders. My hope is to teach the Bible in a kid-friendly way and provide a fun, safe and engaging environment for kids to connect with God and one another. Please call or e-mail me if you have any questions.
