Rev. Vernon Wright

Before serving Second Congregational Church beginning in July of 2008, Rev. F. Vernon Wright served Plymouth Congregational Church, UCC in Helena MT, for seven years. There he served on the Montana Northern Wyoming Committee on ministry, was Western Association Delegate for the Montana Northern Wyoming conference of the national Synod for the United Church of Christ, the board of directors for Intermountain Children's home and the director and founder of the Progressive Clergy Alliance of Montana

Rev. Wright is passionate about the path of the loving divine as revealed in Christ. Much of his ministry is engaged with issues pertaining to social justice, and the empowerment of communities and individuals. He has a BA of Religious Studies from University of Colorado and a Masters of Divinity from Andover Newton Theological School. He currently serves on the board of directors of the Attleboro Council of Churches. Things he enjoys most about Ministry are teaching, visiting, preaching, and contemplative prayer. His hobbies include sailing, nordic skiing, world religions, writing and running. He is married to Kat Wright and together they have three children Owen, River and Brynn.
